I finally got a PS3. It was a price that was pretty good, $270 for the 80Gb version. We had a couple of discounts, and a gift card from Target to bring it down that far... So far, not too bad, but it's through the A/V cables. Yes, the hero of HD gaming comes with standard A/V cables that do 480i max...
I ordered an HDMI selector box for 30bucks, with cables. I'll let you know if my eyes really melt or not when it comes in.

Get out...
I joke dude. There not all that bad, just don't expect a 360 stopper. I mainly use mine for DVD's & Blu-ray to be honest. But it's a lot better watching a DVD on the PS3 to the Xbox360. But it's a damn expensive DVD player in that sense...

Buying a console nowadays is like choosing between a ham sandwhich and a ham sandwhich, they're both the same. Bar a few exclusives, everything is multi-platform.
Anyway, I'll stop before I begin ranting on something totally off-topic. I think the fact that you have to pay extra to get the advantages of HD is ridiculous.

Sadly, if it's multiplatform, I'm going 360 on it. I mainly figured I had the couple bucks to spend, and God of War III isn't too far off. I do agree that at a minimum component cables should come bundled. Even with a switch MS did it right, you could go either way.
