Anyone get the Sims 3?
I've be an avid fan since the first one. Got a pile of expansions, and too many hours wasted from my childhood. So I guess you could call me fan.
Although I didn't get The Sims 3 on release date, I picked it up the following weekend.
So far I'm pretty enjoying it, I've logged in about 15 hours total. Although my Xfire says more like 8. But I played a lot with my female friend when I first got it, turns out she's an addict from the original Sims back in the day, so I can't be shunned for playing it. Sweet.
In my opinion it's better than The Sims 2, which has unfriendly construction - this one on the other hand takes the Sims 1 side of construction while adding all the neighborhood features from The Sims 2. It's the best of both worlds - Plus the Sims don't need to Pee so damn much!
Since the beginning though there's always been a flaw in the Sims that I couldn't put my finger on, but I can't help feel but feel I'm searching for it in Sims 3, luckily, as of this moment, I can't seem to find it.
The Sims Store sucks albeit, i'll spend my free $10 on their then never touch it again.

i can't really comment much here. the idea of a sims store absolutely makes me sick, though. disgusting amounts of capitalism right there.
i'm sure the sims is fun but they all seem sort of aimless to me

I love the Sims, but aside from possible computer compatibility issues, I've still got a crapload of games to finish. They stare at me like lost puppy dogs, and it makes me sad.

People seem to put it in the same category as WoW - which is the furthest from the truth. Guild Wars is pretty story driven till the end, then you focus more on the MMO side if you will, partying + building money. The MMO side pretty much ends when you get to Level 20.

Same stuff I've been doing, working and trying to whitle down my list of unplayed games. House chores too. I hate laundry day.
